WaterREG Ghana is a Non-Profit Organization headquartered in Northern Ghana (Tamale) that specializes in human rights-based approaches, creative service delivery, effective social accountability tools and local governance strategies. Our mission is to develop, design and implement state-of-the-art social interventions in the areas of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Claiming Rights, Economic Empowerment, Good Governance and Accountability.
Our vision is to create an environment in Ghana where women, youth, and other marginalized and discriminated groups can fully access opportunities and resources so as to overcome inequality and poverty in all its forms. We secure the fundamental human rights of vulnerable women, the girl child, street children, and build the capacities of communities to hold duty bearers accountable. As such, we design and implement community specific demand-driven interventions that facilitate and improve WASH service delivery, human rights protection and good governance.
WaterREG Ghana operates within the Savannah ecological zones including Upper East, Upper West, North East, Northern, Savanna and Oti Regions of Ghana.
WaterREG works in consonance with goals 1,3,5,6,10,13 and 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our work is also aligned with the Africa Agenda 2063 Goals and Aspirations of creating the Africa We Want.
At WaterREG, everyone's voice is listened to and decisions are made with people rather than for them.
At WaterREG, we adhere to all laid down rules, processes and procedures.
At WaterREG, our hallmark is excellence - including organizational culture, leadership, strategy, people, processes, and results.
